1970s bright red cotton crotchet and chenille knit dress labelled Chaumiere aux Tricots Paris and Made in France. The dress is waisted and made of wide rows of horizontal and vertical bands interspersed with a single row of chenille velvet to add texture. Around the hem and arm bands is a more elaborate chain link type design and the neat, round neckline is also trimmed in chenille velvet. The dress has an integral lined modesty panel at the front of the bodice and a separate lining to the skirt element in a red nylon.

Condition wise, this is good to very good with no real issues noted other than gentle age appropriate wear - no stains or rips etc. At first we thought the chenille loops in the knitted rows were deliberate to break up the texture; however, we now think these have come loose over time. I actually like the effect. Estimated to fit up to a UK12 or US 8.
